An outstanding boutique hotel in Altiplanico San Pedro, a town in the San Pedro de Atacama region. It has 35 rooms and rests on a gentle stretch of land surrounded by views of the majestic Andes and Licancabur Volcano. It was constructed in 2003 (and updated in 2008) using adobe bricks and other local materials such as mud, straw, wood and river rock. The hotel grounds and gardens are well maintained and were created with local river rocks and native plants creating an immersive experience for guests. Some of the amenities include a pool, large dine-in restaurant, wine cellar and a bar area with lounge. (The sunset views from our lounge are truly spectacular!) There are several restaurants and markets close by giving guests convenient access to authentic food from the region and local artisans.

It is set on an elevated plateau of the Andes mountains in Northeastern Chile. The dramatic landscapes surrounding it include deserts, salt flats, volcanoes, geysers and hot springs. The Valle de la Luna near Los Flamencos National Reserve is most famous for it's Lunar-like depression, unusual rock formations, huge sand dunes and pink-streaked mountains.
